Killing Many to Save a Few? Preliminary Thoughts about Avoiding Collateral Civilian Damage by Assassination of Regime Elites

The chapter in the 2009 Warbrick Festschrift looks at the issue of regime assassinations as an alternative to causing widespread civilian collateral damage. It describes a historical overview of the development of the concept of assassination and goes on to presen the results of a student questionnaire pilot study at Durham related to scenarios of assassinations.
