“Stable Isotope Mixing” — a Proposal to Analyze Stable Isotopes Using a Technique Similar to the Isotope Dilution Analysis: Part III Supplementary Theoretical Treament
In this work some potential fields of application of the stable isotope mixing are discussed briefly including; the stable isotope analysis of materials irrespective of their purity, the determination of a quantity of a material contained in a multi-material system; the purity determination of materials; the separation of the substance to be analyzed for the purpose of the stable isotope analysis and the analysis of practically unweighable amounts of substances. Moreover the utilization of the stable mixing for the formula weight determination; elemental analysis, molecular formula investigation and the determination of the isotope atomic weight are discussed and the application of the isotope mixing for radioactive isotopes is proposed. Related formulae for several applications are derived and a brief discussion of the proposed technique according to the expected precision is presented.
