摘要
Lactobacillus plantarum is an organism of great potential in food and agricultural fermentations. This paper describes two techniques for transformation of the organism: firstly, sphaeroplast transformation and secondly, electroporation‐mediated transformation. Both methods appear to be plasmid‐ and strain‐specific and therefore may be complementary in the development of genetic manipulation of this organism.
