(Invited) Li-ion safety of consumer cells and EDV cell (What, How, Why)

Constant safety problem of Li-ion batteries, either in EDV or consumer applications create concerns. We have been actively discussing the understanding, the reduction, the prevention and/or the eliminations of Li-ion safety at various applications in IEEE and SAE with hundreds industrial leaders from various organizations. Some of the results of our discussion on the “understanding” will be shared in this presentation.
