Croup: Common Syndromes and Therapy

CME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES 1. Delineate the differential diagnosis of croup in children. 2. Review the clinical evidence supporting the use of nebulized epinephrine for croup in the emergency department, as well as the criteria for discharge home after treatment. 3. Discuss the clinical evidence supporting the use of systemic or nebulized steroids in the treatment of viral laryngotracheobronchitis.
