Trihedral corners are common on military targets such as ships and ground vehicles, but there has been no routine method for predicting the contributions from corners whose faces are not mutually perpendicular. In a method developed at Georgia Tech, the corner faces must be polygonal but may be oriented at arbitrary angles to each other. The first one or two internal reflections of the i ncident wave are traced by the rules of geometrical optics, and physical optics is used to predict. the return from the final reflection. A significant step is the determination of the o utline of a surface patch receiving rays reflected f.rom the o ther f aces.
