Atypical Polypoid Adenomyoma of Uterus:1 Case Report and Review of 21 Cases in the Literature

Purpose To explore the clinical and pathological characteristics in atypical polypoid adenomyomas of the uterus,to improve recognization and accumulate experience of diagnosis and therapy.Method A case report form The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and records of 21 cases gathered by using a literature search were analyzed.Result Patients were almost yong reproductive age women,tumors were composed of hyperplastic endometrium glands admixed with interlacing bundles of muscle cells.One patient was dead because of endometrium caicinoma,others had benign clinical courses.Conclusion Thc major differential diagnosis from atypical molypoid adenomyoma is the well-differentiated adenomyoma carcinoma.It is a benign or a low malignant tumor.Therefore,long-term follow-up is suggested for APA patients.
