Experience on Compiling Hospital Formulary by Grass-roots Hospitals

Objective To provide reference for compiling a hospital formulary by grass-roots hospitals. Methods The process of compiling a hospital formulary,problems encountered and solutions were retrospectively analysed. The formulary of our hospital was characterized. Results and Conclusion In the process of compiling the hospital formulary,the difficulty lies in compiling the formulary of drugs outside the Chinese National Formulary. Grass-roots hospitals should refere to the Chinese National Formulary,limit the number of drugs outside the Chinese National Formulary,lay emphasis on the role of clinical pharmacists,and try to improve the compilation of drugs outside the Chinese National Formulary.
