Simulation Research on the Process of Ice Shedding and Jumping of Transmission Line

Tower supports dynamic shock load and unbalanced tension after ice shedding of transmission line and the swing of conductor decreases the electrical spacing between the neighbor conductors.Finite element software is used to build the three freedom model of transmission line and the dynamic response of conductor for ice shedding is analyzed by numerical calculation.The dynamic effect of ice coating thickness,ice shedding style and stress of conductor on the ice shedding of middle position wire is studied with the wind load.Thus,it provides reference for engineering project.
