Repair of blepharotosis by partial eyebrow excision with orbicularis muscle suspension

Objective To improve the aged appearance caused by eyebrow skin relanation and blepharotosis. Methods For those bad or ptotic eyebrows and severe blepharotosis, a new moon incision was designed and the additional skin of upper eyelid was removed. The orbicularis muscle was suspended according to the different situations,The upper eyelid skin was elevated and sutured. Results 67 cases were carried out the above operations, the bad eyebrows were excised, the eyebrow relanation and blepharotosis were repaired completely. Conclusion The aged look of orbicularis area could be improved significantly by eyebrow excision and eyelid elevation.
