Catalytic Performance for CO Oxidation over Au/Fe_2O_3 Catalysts Prepared by Different Methods

WT5BZ]Au/Fe 2O 3 catalysts are prepared by grafting organo metal complex and coprecipitation methods respectively. The catalytic performance for CO oxidation over these catalysts is evaluated and the effects of preparation conditions and methods on catalytic activities are investigated. It is found that under the conditions controlled strictly, Au/Fe 2O 3(Au loading:3%) catalyst prepared by the two methods mentioned above can oxidize 1%(volume percent) CO in air to CO 2 completely at -5 ℃ and below -23 ℃ respectively; the sample prepared by coprecipitation exhibited higher catalytic activity than that by grafting.
