Effect of macrophage PEGylation on endocytosis modes

The objective of this work was to PEGylate macrophages and to study the impact of this modification on endocytosis modes. We showed that PEGylation of macrophages did not affect their ability to internalize tracers of phagocytosis and adsorptive endocytosis processes. The current results might mean that PEGylation of Sn on surface membrane is not sufficient to shield and repel with efficacy molecules around the surface of macrophages.
