摘要
Polymerized solid-solid state phase change materials (P-PCMs) have emerged as promising candidates for thermal management applications owing to their outstanding shape stability during phase transitions, high thermal energy storage density, and excellent thermal cycling stability. The design of the polymer crosslinking network plays a critical role in developing high-performance P-PCMs. In this concept article, we systematically discuss strategies for selecting appropriate materials as phase change units, crosslinking agents, and chain extenders to enable the preparation of diverse P-PCMs. Additionally, we summarize methods for integrating additional functionalities beyond thermal energy storage into the polymer architecture to further extend the utility of these materials. Finally, key challenges and future research directions are critically assessed, aiming to provide design guidance for next-generation high-performance P-PCMs and to stimulate continued advances in the rapidly evolving thermal management field.
