Postoperative sleep disturbances--notable perioperative complications

Background Postoperative sleep disturbance(PSD) not only has the high incidence but also has severe prognosis. Objective This paper summarized and analyzed the general mechanism of PSD and provided new ideas for advanced research. Content This paper reviewed related researches about PSD, including physiological changes, evaluation and monitoring methods, different influencing factors, prevention and treatment of progress. Trend In order to reduce PSD, and provide new ideas to improve the prognosis of patient, PSD in the perioperative complications deserves further attention and in-depth research.
