A phosphorus analog of a bimetallic dinitrogen complex

Diphosphorus is a reactive molecule that can be studied only in the gas phase or in inert gas matrices. In this issue of Chem, Holthausen, Schneider, and co-workers describe the isolation of the first bona fide metal complex of a neutral diphosphorus molecule, a heavy analog of well-established metal dinitrogen compounds.
