The Development History and Trend of Bombay Stock Exchange in India

Stock market emerged as investment platform to earn potential returns since 2000 in India.This momentum is caused for significant growth in BSE in India.Therefore, present study focused on the analysis of growth and development of BSE for the study period of 2001-20.The study revealed that, BSE has shown significant growth in term of investor participation, equity market turnovers and market capitalization.The study also found overvaluation of market through variable of P/B Ratio and P/E ratios.The study observed poor returns of dividend yield during the study period.I overall, the BSE has reported significant growth since 2000.
