Neurogenic Claudication: Nonoperative Management

Neurogenic claudication due to lumbar spinal stenosis is a commonly diagnosed and treated spinal condition. It frequently afflicts the elderly and can have significant impact on functional ability, quality of life and independence. With the aging population the incidence of neurogenic claudication is expected to grow rapidly over the next twenty years. In this chapter we review the evidence for diagnosis, non-operative treatment, and prognosis of neurogenic claudication.
