To overcome the issues of difficult dispersion and recovery of powdered photocatalytic catalysts and secondary pollution, a double-sided adhesive loaded with TiO2/g-C3N4 photocatalytic material was prepared by a brushing method. The photocatalytic double-sided adhesive (PDSA) was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS), contact angle analysis, ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS) and fluorescence spectroscopy (PL). The degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) was used to evaluate the photocatalytic performance of the PDSA. The best degradation of 96.96% after 2 h illumination and ultrasound treatment was achieved when the conditions were 10 mg L-1 RhB solution, 10 mL, 25 °C and pH = 7. Quenching agent experiments determined that ˙O2- and ˙OH were the main active species. The effect of impurity ions and soaking in acidic/alkaline solution on PDSA degradation was evaluated. After 5 cycles of degradation experiments, the degradation efficiency of PDSA was still up to 96.55%. This study provides a new solution for the loading of powdered photocatalysts.
