THE APPROACHES TO THE CULTURAL MEMORY STUDYING IN THE MODERN CONDITIONS

Purpose. The purpose of this article consists in the analysis of the modern approaches to research of the cultural memory, in judgment of the principles and mechanisms of memory presentation, in identification of the most suitable approach that considers modern conditions. As “modern conditions” the author of article sees the growing influence of a virtual component on all spheres of activity of the person. The subject of the analysis is the cultural memory. Methodology. Phenomenological, semiotics, hermeneutic and constructivist approaches to studying of the cultural memory became a methodological basis of the research. The main methods are the theoretical analysis, studying of literature. Results. Within two last decades the research on a perspective of memory were allocated in a special branch in the humanities. The studying began with the research of the individual memory, later there were works connected with the cultural memory of the whole generations. Modern researches reflect features of memory from the different points of view (psychological, philosophical, sociological, cultural studies, etc.). However by the memory studies it is necessary to consider a very important aspect – the influence of the Internet on preservation of the cultural memory. As the result of the work are the author analyzes a number of modern approaches and formulates the most fully reflecting the modern relation of society to forms of preservation of cultural memory. As the most perspective approach the author considers the constructivist one. Practical implications. The article can be of interest to the experts in the field of cultural science, philosophy, history. The results can be applied both in theoretical researches, and in educational process.
