OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical value of micromovement sensitive mattress sleep monitoring system(MSMSMS) in the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).METHODS Fifty cases with snoring were randomly monitoring with MSMSMS and polysomnography(PSG)synchronously for whole night.The consistency of the two methods in diagnosing OSAHS was compared.Using PSG results as the golden standard,the sensitivity and specificity of MSMSMS in diagnosing OSAHS were analyzed.The results of the respiratory and oxygen saturation decreasing events,sleep stages were compared.RESULTS All patients diagnosed as OSAHS by PSG were diagnosed as OSAHS by MSMSMS as well.The sensitivity and specificity of MSMSMS in diagnosing OSAHS were 100% and 66.7% respectively.There was no statistical difference in apnea hypopnea index(AHI),lowest oxygen saturation(LSaO2),average SaO2 and rapid eye movement(REM)stage(%) between PSG and MSMSMS results(P0.05).There was statistical difference in apnea index(AI),obstructive apnea index(OAI),hypopnea index(HI),shallow sleep stage(%)and deep sleep stage(%)between PSG and MSMSMS results(P0.05).AHI,LSaO2 and average SaO2 in MSMSMS were good correlated with that in PSG(AHI: r=0.958,P=0.000;LSaO2: r=0.937,P=0.000;MSaO2: r=0.810,P=0.000).CONCLUSION MSMSMS is a reliable diagnostic equipment for OSAHS,and further effort should be made to gain more accurate event type and sleep stage.
