Effects of Cryogenic Treatment in Magnetic Field on the Mechanical Performance of Alloy Steels

Conventional quenching,cryogenic treatment and cryogenic treatment in magnetic field were carried out on the three kinds of industrial steels such as 4Cr13,65Mn and 60Si2Mn.The results show that cryogenic treatment can improve the hardness,strength,impact toughness and wear resistance of the steels,however the cryogenic treatment in magnetic field can improve these properties more obviously.
