Due to the special anatomical location, although most cavernous sinus meningiomas is benign, it ex-hibits similar biological behavior of malignant tumors, by imperiling ICA, Ⅲ~Ⅵ cranial nerves or pituitary. Be-cause of its adjacent vital structures, cavernous sinus meningiomas is difficult to be full-cutted by surgery. In re-cent years, with the development and widespread application of CT, MR and other modern imaging technology, aswell as the anatomy of cavernous sinus anatomy, the microsurgical techniques and the surgery of skull base, preop-erative diagnosis, evaluation and surgery therapy of cavernous sinus meningiomas have made considerable progress.But because of the complex anatomy of cavernous, there is still some controversy on this region. So we presentthe progress of the cavernous sinus meningiomas diagnosis and treatment strategies for a brief overview.
