Clinical Studies of Octreotide Treatment of Acute Pancreatitis

Objeetive To explore the effect and safety of octreotide therapy for the acute pancreatitis.Methods 139 patients with acute pancreatitis were studide,64 cases were treated early by octreotide during comprehensive treatment,75 cases were not treated by octreotide,monitor serum amylase,compare the rate of complication and the time of resident.Results The AMS of group were treated by octreotide,including 43 cases with MAP(Mild acute pancreatitis),21 cases with SAP(severe acute pancreatitis) were reduced obviously in 48 hours and 72 hours,the difference comparing the group were not treated by octreotide is obviously The average time of resident in group were treated by octreotide was 10.3 days and 15.8 days in group were not treated by octreotide,21 cases happen complication in group were treated by octreotide,43 cases happen complication in group were not treated by octreotide.Concolusion The octreotide can reduce AMS effectively,relieve clinical symptom,shorten the time of resident,reduce complication and death rate.
