Objective:To explore the incidence of early hematoma growth in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage and hypertension. Methods:The evaluation of CT scan in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage within 3 hours after the onset of symptoms were performed respectively at baseline and 24 hours after the baseline. To give a definition of the hematoma growth was the volume increase of 24 hours after the onset of symptoms33% by CT scan. Results:The proportion of early hematoma growth was 7.1% in the group of intensive blood pressure reduction and 18.6% in the group of normal blood pressure reduction, which proved the incidence of early hematoma growth in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage and hypertension. Conclusion:The early hematoma growth in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage is decreased by intensive blood pressure reduction.
