Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks: new horizons in biomedical applications

. In this Tutorial Review, we summarize the common building blocks for the construction of HOF-based functional biomaterials and the latest developments in the biological field. Moreover, we highlight current challenges regarding the stability and functionalization of HOFs along with the corresponding potential solutions. This Tutorial Review will have a profound effect in future years on the design and applications of HOF-based biomaterials.
