摘要
The self-assembly behaviors of natural enzymes facilitate various kinds of biotransformation with extremely high efficiency, and these assembled catalytic complexes also show better stability, coordination, and regulatory features than those of individual enzymes. Inspired by nature's wisdom, catalysts designed by self-assembly have been developed to conduct cascade reactions, switchable reactions, and other reactions under harsh conditions. Proteins, peptides, and synthetic molecules that convey catalytic functions have been designed as building blocks to form nanowires, nanosheets, and nanoarrays. These catalytically active materials exhibited both well-defined structures and enhanced catalytic performances. In this chapter, we introduced the construction method, morphology, and catalytic behavior of the catalysts designed by self-assembly strategies.
