The pathogenesis of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy remains unclear. This study was carried out to test our hypothesis that ADAM17 aggravates cardiomyocyte apoptosis induced by doxorubicin and inhibition of ADAM17 may ameliorate doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy.
