Tough complex hydrogels transformed from highly swollen polyelectrolyte hydrogels based on Cu2+ coordination with anti-bacterial properties

The synthesis of tough hydrogels based on metal coordination between Cu 2+ and a phosphorus-containing cationic polyelectrolyte for wound dressing is reported, exhibiting excellent anti-bacterial performance and biocompatibility.
