Establish the level of adherence to long-term functional neurorehabilitation processes and its relationship with disability and health-related quality of life in adults with chronic spinal cord injury in the city of Soacha, Colombia (year 2014). Materials and methods: The sample size calculation was carried out taking as a reference the Colombian multicenter study by Henao and Perez (3) in which it was found that 100% of people with spinal cord injury had some degree of disability (38% mild, 44% moderate and 18% severe), for the municipality of Soacha a study population of 37 patients with disabilities was taken from the database of the mayor of Soacha, older than 18 years with a diagnosis of spinal cord injury that At the time of the evaluation, they had more than six months of evolution of the injury and that they had been in long-term Functional Neurorehabilitation processes, applying informed consent to obtain voluntary and conscious participation of the purpose of the research. The instruments used in this study to evaluate the level of adherence to neurorehabilitation processes (SMAN) and the degree of disability in a population with chronic spinal cord injury (SCI-DAS), HRQoL was evaluated with the Spanish version of the questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF (World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument, abridged version) and the neurological classification scale of the American Spinal Injury Association ASIA (American Spinal Injury Association); The data were analyzed using SPSSS Version 2.0 software and the statistical significance level calculated P <0.05. The data distribution was performed according to the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) normality test. Results: The mean age of the population under investigation was 42.9 years, compared to the age of occurrence of the neurological injury, the mean was 26.22 years, the time of the rehabilitation process was found a mean of 25 , 41 months. 78.4% of patients with spinal cord injury were women and 21.6% men, 21.6% were pensioners due to disability and unemployed due to disability, the most common etiology was traumatic injury with 86.5% and of the The interventions received were found to be the highest treatment Physical therapy with 29.8%. Regarding the variables, a normal distribution of the data was found, accepting the null hypothesis, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) normality test and the correlation coefficient Pearson's null hypothesis was accepted where there is no correlation between the variable adherence to long-term functional neurorehabilitation processes and disability and there is a statistically significant correlation between the variable adherence to long-term functional neurorehabilitation processes and health-related quality of life.
