Thermoelectric modules use the Peltier effect in their operation. As a result, one of their sides cools down while the other heats up, i.e. they directly convert the electric energy into a temperature gradient. Apart from single modules, modules connected in a cascade are also offered. This paper presents the results from a study of a multi-stage Peltier module and the conclusions made from them.
