Thermodynamic modeling of the formation of chromium carbides in the surfaced metal

The possibility of hardening the surfaced metal working under conditions of abrasive wear with chromium carbides is investigated. It is determined, that the formation of carbides with proper alloying of the surfaced metal increases its resistance.
