Thyroid nodules are common in clinic. Microwave ablation (microwave ablation, WMA) can effectively reduce the volume of solid thyroid nodules and improve the related symptoms of nodules. At present, it is mainly used on the benign nodules, while the research on the malignant nodules is also carried out, but can achieve the same effect, rarely reported. The major complications of microwave ablation were larynx return nerve injury and bleeding, after the treatment can be cured. Due to its good effectiveness and safety, microwave ablation can be recommended for the clinical treatment of thyroid nodules.
