摘要
A resonant cavity is designed in the shape of a multishelled spherical structure by Dan Wang, Jr-Hau He, Yi Cui, and co-workers in article number 1801972. Due to the resonance-enhanced absorption by multiple convex shells, fabricated metal oxide photodetectors show improved optoelectronic performance and omnidirectional detection of light at different incident angles and polarization. The optical resonance formed inside the nanocavity resonator enables light trapping within the active region and hence enhances light absorption.
