Microwave Assisted Eletroless Nickel Plating on PVC

Process of microwave assisted eletroless Ni-P plating on PVC plastic was studied.The effect of solution components on the deposition rate and properties of the electroless plated layer was also discussed.In addition,the optimal process parameters were determined and compared with conventional plating.The results showed that the use of microwave heating could improve the electroless nickel plating rate significantly and lower the plating temperature.The obtained Ni-P coating had good adhesion and ethibited corrosion resistance,and exhibited silvery white metal luster.
