Risk Assessment and Risk Management in Construction of Pylon of a Very Long Span Cable-Stayed Bridge

The risks of various adverse factors that may have influence on the safety,quality and progress of the whole construction process of the high-rise pylon of Sutong Bridge are assessed.Accordingly,the control measures against the various risk events are put forward,the risk alarm schemes are formulated and the risk management handbooks are prepared.As a result,a set of the complete risk management system for the pylon is finally formed for guidance of the specific construction.The research findings as presented in the paper were successfully used in the construction of the Bridge.
