Reverse Technology Spillover Effect of China's FDI:Empirical Analysis Based on Inter-provincial Panel Data

Using the inter-provincial panel data from 2002 to 2007 in China, this paper studies the short-term and long-term reverse technology spillover effects of China's FDI.It shows that China's FDI has significant short-term reverse technology spillover effect on the applications of total patents and inventions and utility model patents, but only has significant long-term reverse spillover effect on the application of design patents.In addition, there are regional differences between the short-term and long-term reverse technology spillover of China's FDI.
