INVESTIGATION ON APPLICATION OF ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE AND MIXED LINEAR MODEL IN REPEATED MEASUREMENT

[Objective]Through comparing the application of mixed linear model and analysis of variance in the repeated measurement,to explain the characteristics of two kinds of methods when dealing with the repeated measurement data.[Methods]139 patients who came to the psychiatric department of the West China Hospital and saw the doctors were investigated. Used analysis of variance model and mixed linear model to deal with the repeated measurement data about the scores of Montgomery-Asberg.[Results]Mixed linear model and analysis of variance were both the most important statistical methods to deal with the repeated measurement data. The former could carry on parameter estimation and statistical test in measuring the fixed effect,random effect parameter and covariance matrix of repeated measurement data,the latter only made the statistical inference in measuring the fixed effect of repeated measures data.[Conclusion]Comparing with analysis of variance,the requirements for data are looser and results are more objective for mixed linear model dealing with repeated measures data in clinic.
