摘要
Pith paper, previously described as “rice paper” has been appreciated as a support for Chinese export paintings during the 19th century. This production is linked to sino-europeans relations in the context of opening areas to international trade in China. By nature such export paintings and their specific conservation problems concern many Europeans collections. This article aims to research on the origin of the use of this material.
