Aiming at providing regarding parameters for studying cultivation techniques of poplar thoroughly and timber processing industry, studies of biomass structures and evaluation models of poplar was conducted. The results indicated that: poplar biomass structures were 23%~26% for the crown, 50%~52% for the stem and 22%~26% for the root respectively, and 80%~90% biomass of roots distributed in 0~40cm soil layer. The single tree biomass of different densities of poplar stands differed from that of per unit area, single-tree biomass decreased and biomass of per unit area increased as the density enhanced. The evaluation models of biomass of different parts of 5-year-old poplar were mapped out in this experiment.
