Application of Flow Field Analysis in the Design of Surge Tank Based on Fluent

Based on an introduction to the structure of surge tank and characteristics of Fluent software,the application of Fluent in the design is proposed. The theoretical design and numerical simulation of the surge tank is discussed with an example to obtain the flow stability of the outlet location and verify the rationality of the design of surge tank. The result shows that the combination of traditional theory design with the calculation of fluid mechanics is effective.
