Rise of the Fractal Geometry

ICME-7 held in Quebec in 1992,Dr.Benoit B.Mandelbrot,professor of Yale University and the father of fractal geometry,delivered a speech to 2860 participators_Ecperimental Geometry and Fractals.Thus fractal geometry takes shape which studies irregular and fragmental figurse in nature while Euclid Geometry studies ragular figures.By comparing the two studies,it is proved thar nature has complexity with a great degree as well as different dimensions. This paper illustrates the development and application of fractal geometry .Fractal theory is a new subfect rapidly developed within recent 20years and is becoming one of the main researching contents of nonlinearity.
