THE STUDY ON THE FIRE RETARDANCY OF (NH_ 4)_2SO_4 IN THERMOPLASTICS

In this paper,(NH 4) 2SO 4 was used as a new kind of inorganic flame retaardant.Fire retardancy of (NH 4) 2SO 4 in ABS、LDPE、PVC were tested by Oxygen Index and Vertical flammability.The result was that (NH 4) 2SO 4 was an effective flame retardant.Its fire retardanc was higher than that of some other inorganic flame retardant agents i.e.Al(OH) 3 and Mg(OH) 2.
