Research Progress in Poly Vinyl Alcohol Graft Polymers

Poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) is commonly used as the biocompatible material,but the defects of PVA are high melting point,poor workability,etc. The studies on the modifications of PVA are attractive at present. The recent research progress in the chemical modifications of poly vinyl alcohol is summarized.The preparation methods and relative application of the poly vinyl alcohol grafted polymers are given in detail,The grafted polymers are more useful than the original materials,the development of PVA-g-polymers are bright prospects.
