Volcanology at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory

This mini-review briefly describes the research conducted at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (LASL) on various areas in volcanology. Areas of research include volcanic hazard analysis, the climatic effects of volcanic eruptions, young volcanic fields as heat sources, volcanic ash deposits and nuclear waste isolation, and basic research on the origin of volcanism.
