摘要
In this paper, what we believe to be a novel photonic crystal fiber (PCF) biosensor with surface plasmonic double gold nanowires is proposed, which has specific square arranged air holes and two gold nanowires distributed symmetrically at the upper and lower ends, the refractive index (RI) sensitivity in near-infrared regime was numerically investigated through finite element method (FEM) simulations. In the RI range of 1.360 to 1.390, the biosensor shows a high wavelength sensitivity (WS) of 72,000 nm/RIU, the amplitude sensitivity (AS) of 1492.77 RIU-1, the resolution (R) of 1.39 × 10-6 RIU and the quality factor (FOM) of 830.16 RIU-1. In addition, this biosensor includes remarkable performance in blood cancer cells (Jurkat) and skin cancer cells (Basal) RI sensing detection with WS of 50,000 nm/RIU and 35,000 nm/RIU, respectively. The proposed biosensor exhibits impressive sensing characteristics and holds great application value in chemical and biomedical detection.
