The problem of dynamic settling of a poroelastic column is analyzed using BEM. Biot's model of a porous medium is considered. The effect of the changes in the displacement response in complete Biot's model on the displacement responce in simplified Biot's model is demonstrated. Key words: 3-D poroelasticity, dynamics, boundary integral equations, boundary element.
