摘要
Dielectric relaxation for (a) 2-hexanone, (b) 2-heptanone, (c) 4-heptanone, (d) cyclohexanone and (e) acetophenone has been studied in a polystyrene matrix from liquid nitrogen temperature to room temperature. Two dielectric dispersions have been observed for each of 2-hexanone, 2-heptanone and 4-heptanone whereas cyclohexanone and acetophenone have shown one dielectric dispersion. Data has been analysed using Fuoss-Kirkwood relation and the activation parameters have been evaluated using Eyring's relation. The results have been compared with those reported for ketones in liquid form.
