Influence of BMI at early pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy on the health of maternal and newborn.

Objective:To explore the influence of BMI at early pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy on the health of maternal and newborn,and to provide the basis for establishing standard of weight gain during pregnancy.Methods:All cases were divided into different groups according to BMI at early pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy,and were compared the effect on maternal and child health.Results:Compared with the status in groups at weight gain stage,the incidence of pregnancy-induced hypertension(PHI),gestational diabetes,delivery mode,neonatal asphyxia,postpartum hemorrhage and macrosomia had significant difference in groups at early pregnancy stage(P0.05).Conclusion:The pre-gestational obesity and excess weight gain during pregnancy have adverse influence on pregnant women and neonatus,and increase the prevalence of pregnant complication and dystocia.
