This large ding (cauldron with two ears on tripod) belonged to the shanfu (officer of the imperial banqueting court) called Ke, in the reign of Emperor Li of the Western Zhou dynasty. The inner surface carries an inscription of 290 characters. It was excavated in 1890 at Ren village, near Famen temple, Fufeng county, Shaanxi. -- Zhou dynasty, h: 93.1 cm.
