STRUCTURE AND WEAR RESISTANCE OF MEDIUM-HIGH CARBON BAINITE STEEL

The microstructure , transformation kinetics and wear resistance of a new category of medium-high carbon bainite steel has been investigated . The microstructure consists of bainite ,martensite ,carbide and retained austenite. The microstructure is fine and uniform. The hardness test and microstructure observation on the specimens with large cross-section has shown that the medium-high carbon bainite steel possesses high hardness and high wear resistance in whole cross-section.
